Plans for “church” this Sunday and going forward
Church family,
As we announced in the previous email, we will not be allowed to meet tomorrow morning due to the new order given by the State of Colorado and the restriction of no gatherings of greater than 10 people. While we continue to work out what “church” will look like over the coming weeks, here is what we will do tomorrow morning:
We will have “service” posted online, on our website starting at 9:30am (our normal meeting time). There will be music for you to listen to, worship in your home, and a message. We encourage you to prioritize the time and spend the hour to hour and a half to worship and hear from God’s Word. We would also ask that you take time to pray – deeply. Pray for you, your loved ones, your neighbors, the church (people by name), and our community. Give praise to God for all He has done and seek His shepherding. This is the time to petition the God of the universe to care for and direct us all.
In the coming days, we will have an amplified plan for going forward. The one thing we want to make sure we do well is BIBLICAL COMMUNITY. We need to come together like we haven’t before to care for, encourage, and serve one another. The primary mechanism we will be relying on for this unity together is our community groups. We are in the process of increasing the number of groups while reducing the size of each one as well. We will let you know what this will practically look like soon but know that we are working on what God wants during this time.
If you are ill, have any of the symptoms (ie fever over 100.4F, cough, shortness of breath, trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, new confusion or inability to arouse, bluish lips or face) please stay home and consult your medical provider immediately or go to the nearest emergency room. Please also give someone a call at the church! One of us, your community group leader, or anyone in leadership should be notified so we can help. If you need ANYTHING (groceries, medicine, transportation, etc.) please make the call. This is why we are here – to serve God’s people.
Have a great rest of the evening. Stay warm and healthy. Redeem the time to get closer to God. We are in this together and we look forward to the day when we can all meet again as one group.
In Christ Jesus and for His church,
Mike and Mark
